New Monitor choices

Hiya guys,

Quick question really, i'm thinking about upgrading to something like this:

Or is it better to go for something like this:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-074-BQ

And stay at 1080P

I've only ever used 1080p monitors @60hz, haven't got a clue if it's worth going for something with a fast Refresh rate over more pixels.

Any opinions would be great as i'll be ordering today.

1440p IPS panel.

People have switched from IPS to 120/144hz monitors but switched back to their IPS due to bad colours and the refresh rate not being worth it.

More resolution will be better for everyday usage aswell.

That said you'll need a decent gfx card to power games at 1440p.

Thought i'd update this,

Took delivery today of my DGM 27" 1440P monitor, initial impressions:

Like most people that have bought one, i noticed the stand was quite flimsy, does the job though and seems solid enough.

One concern before starting my system was that like some, i was worried that i wouldn't be able to get into the bios, thankfully this wasn't the case while using my MSI 280X.

Unfortunately as soon as the system went to a black screen i quickly noticed this:

Appears to be perhaps a group of dead pixels? or some other fault situated towards the bottom of the screen, it's very easy to spot, so much so that i'll be returning the monitor back to Ocuk for a replacement.

Other than that, the screen really impressed me, granted i've never used such a monitor before but was really surprised by the extra detail you get going from 1080P to 1440P.

Colours all looks brilliant, only really tested Arma 3 and crysis 3 but was blown away by it.

Hopefully Ocuk can get a replacement out to me by the end of the week as after using this, i really don't want to go back to 1080P.
