New monitor continually losing sync

Hey guys, had a search for a similar thread but failed to find anything. I just built my new rig today, however, my monitor, a Samsung T220HD, is continually losing sync with my pc. It is forever switching itself on and off every couple of minutes. I have installed every driver i need for this system and have followed the driver installation correctly for the monitor but the problem is persisting.

I have tried the output through DVI, PC and HDMI but every connection has the same problem.

any help would b much appreciated, i stil la bit of a novice at this pc stuff

what psu have you got?

sound like your video card is not getting enough power.
try another psu.

or bring the monitor to a mates house and try it on his pc.

im running an 800W power supply :S should be ok!

that is a strange one. does this happen all time or just in games ?
installed monitor drivers?

cant really think of much that could cause this excpet for faulty gfx or faulty tft
