New monitor, ideal settings?

Hi all,

The gf kindly bought me a new monitor for xmas.

Its a 22" LG Flatron W2234S, I dont suppose anyone has the ideal settings to use for this? Not normally one to know what looks good or what settings should be.

I know most of it is down to personal taste but be good to see if anyone could help me set it up.

Not aware of any ideal profiles for that monitor (each monitor is different though), what i do suggest is giving http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/ a look over, helped me set my screen up to a decent standard

Just use something like Calibrize or Monitor Calibration Wizard (google them) and you should get pleasing (if not 100% accurate) colours.
