New Monitor issues

Just got a new monitor
was an amazing picture for a couple of hours then the psu went pop

ive googled the problem to see if its make specific and it doesnt seem to be,
but i got to thinking what would cause the psu to blow so quick and could there also be a problem within the panel that could have contributed to it blowing.

So would you RMA the psu only or get a whole new item

It was intentionally vague as it relates to an RMA in progress
ok so its a Hazro HZ27WC

TBH i have a sneaking suspicion that i may wait a week (if DPD are involved) for the PSU to be replaced then find it blow again due to some other factor.
Call me picky but i expect things to work for atleast a day after they come out of the box

Quite often electrical items fail quite quickly if they're going to fail.

Well, it being a Hazro could always be related to their poor quality control of course. I'd send the whole thing back but I can imagine it's a big pain in the arse...

BIG pain is correct, its quit a weighty beast but they've only requested the PSU which isnt too bad
I did think about dropping into the shop tomorrow and getting a complete replacement, seems a shame really because the panel looks perfect no dead pixels that i could see
