New monitor needed but only got a small budget

At the moment im using an 19inch Hansol monitor and im looking too get a new monitor in the next week.

The two im looking at are the

Has anyone got any suggestions on which is the better one?

The Asus is right at the top of my budget but i do like the idea of having proper HD.

Does your 19" have a resolution of 1440x900? If so and you require more desktop space you probably should go for the full HD resolution rather than 1680x1050 resolution.

What is it you need a new monitor for?

Hiya yeah my 19" does have a resolution of 1440x900 but it looks terrible.

It will be mainly used for playing games like bioshock,half life2 but also general surfing the net and sometimes watching movies

I was thinking if i went for the full HD then i could hook my xbox360 upto it as well which would mean it would free up the family tv

Sounds like the Asus is your best option although you gotta remember for desktop use a 1920x1080 panel at 22" the pixels are a little small but if that's not a concern definately go for it. I have two of the Asus VH226H monitors and for the money they are excellent monitors.
