Hi. Just a question about this new monitor, a SAMSUNG LU28R550UQUXEN, 4K 60HZ 28".
Has one DisplayPort and two HDMI ports. Currently using it via DisplayPort, works great. Thought I'd try it with a Chromecast I had on my TV, but the image is awful. Chromecast is the 2018 1080p model, so not 4K, that's fine, I wasn't expecting anything better. But the image quality is really bad - dark and murky, colours esp reds very off almost magenta, doesn't even look HD, barely 720.
Tried it on both HDMI ports, same issue. Fiddled with all the monitor menu settings, couldn't get it to help much.
Is it because it's an older Chromecast, is there something I'm missing? Don't have any other HDMI things at hand to plug in and test, except this laptop but I prefer DisplayPort.
