Just received my Monitor from OC and after i cleaned my desk and got rid of the old monitor etc I friggin find that the Dell 2007 FPW didnt come with any power cable   It drives me insane to think that they can send a monitor without the full contents  Its a bit like taking delivery of a car without the steering wheel. As you can imagine im a bit annoyed but rant over.

Now how do i go about in getting the power cable and manuals from my monitor?

It's been pretty well documented on here recently that the new Dell monitors aren't shipping with power cables.
Bit cheeky yes, but it isn't actually missing from your delivery

Please dont tell me you have to purchase the power cable? Cheeky gits dont even supply a manual for the TFT. So how do i go about in getting these bits?

Guys am i right in saying that this monitor can be used using a normal kettle plug? If so i shall go and find one around the house
Worked for me when i needed it :D

I just find that shocking to be honest, the cost to Dell for a kettle cable on a mass scale is likely pennies, to not include one with a monitor should be clearly stated on the order screen.

I am quite suprised that there is no manual or power cable thou. Fair enough with the cable but no manual? Do they expect everyone to know how to use it out of the box?

I didn't need a manual for mine, the little "setup" guide which was supplied was good enough, and the menu system is self explanatory.

Should work without probs. I'm using a kettle lead on the power pack of my Xbox 360 :) Not supplying a lead....there a reason for that? I was quite annoyed not to have an included DVI cable in a 19" tft that arrived today too.

When both my 2007WFP arrived I thought "FFS no DVI cables", but after I had connected them to the stand I went for what I thought was the power cord, and realised it was a DVI cable lol - it had some foam around the end so I couldn't tell :o

it seems to be a trend - i got a hanns g monitor that had no power lead - the prob with the hanns g 19" is because of the gap between the connctors and the bottom section you cant get a normaly kettle lead in - either a angled one or a shorted connecor kettle end (if that makes any sense).

Ive got a dell 2007wfp comming next week, so if they dont come with the power leads atleast i wont need to have a fight with the leads at the back of the desk to put the new cable in.

One of these days the manafactures will provide no cables at all just to safe a few pence - in the end its the retailers who ge the agro, (people thinking cables are missing etc)

Dell are notoriuos for not supplying power cables with their monitors to companies ( on a personal purchase the power cable comes in a seperate box)

Either OCUK never request the cable or they seem to always forget it when someone orders a Dell from them

I just built my brand new machine...dragged the huge monitor onto the desk and was all hyped up to test it out....then i realise i only have one power lead an that came with the PSU...wonderful...

So i can either run the computer OR the monitor.. :o

Im trying hard to motivate myself to go find somewhere to buy a damn power cable.

They have rumbled us! I didnt get power cables with either of my 2007WFP's but even if I did I wouldnt use them as I have to use ones that plug in to my UPS.
