Thinking of incopurating my tv and pc into 1 article and making it the center piece of my bedroom and not sure of the best way to do it. the graphics cards i have currently are an x1950 (master) in crossfire with an x1900 xt and as its crossfire am wondering on size vs speed. I was really thinking i need a DVI connection to the two cards in crossfire to get rid of the current analog connection and dvi comvertor i have hopefully inhancing *** quality and resolution magially. Then some how rig Tv to whatever choice either through a tv card or standard ariel if i have a tv ? any ideas and thanks to any help given in advance. my budget for a new screen is £400 max :) thanks again

What? You have what connections available?

<edit> If you have a spare DVI or VGA connection availble I would get this monitor:

Its £20 over budget but it would be awesome for using as your primary monitor/TV - although you need to buy a TV card but you said your budget for a "new screen" was £400, not "new screen + tv card" ;)

I currently have a vga connection on my monitor which occasionally causes interferance as i have to run with a vga to dvi connector to use my graphics cards and its not ideal with crossfire. As the digital signal going to an analog connection just causes slight interferance , quite annoying. Very true i here good things about dell and am hoping with the crossfire i should get good resolutions however have seen this samsung monitor which appears roughly the same unless i have missed something, so no one would recoomend a tv over something like a dell? As the system gets used a lot more for gaming rather than general tv, and should be quiet running as am going to water cool the lot :) all opinions welcome. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-054-SA&groupid=17&catid=510&subcat=

That samsung is good too. Dont forget a LCD TV will have a lot lower resolution - usually 1366x768 so you would only want to use it for watching the telly although gaming on it would be ok to but you wouldnt want to be using it as a PC monitor.

I dont have a clue about x fire, I had seen a pic of a x fire card and it only had 1 DVI connector on it, does the slave card also have a DVI connector on it? I think you can use 2 monitors with x fire so it must have, if so you can just plug a new monitor or TV in to it using the DVI connection (most new TV's have a DVI connector).

I wanted to make it all 1. Thinking of getting samsung or dell and wall mounting it :). Then a tv card and recording software to record shows tro my hardwrive cause with liquid cooling on the way pc noise wouldent be an issue. crossfire am using has the xfire cable giving off a single dvi, where i currently use *** convertor :(. I think a 24 @ 1920 x1200 is better than a 27 or 32 inch at much lower, after all it is for my bedroom lol :). Think it would be easier :) than tryign to connect a tv to a pc as ive never done that before. but open to pros and cons

Tthe nebula digiTV card has good software and is always being updated (search for nebula in google).

Connecting a TV to a PC is easy, aslong as it has a DVI/VGA connector you can just plug it in to your DVI/VGA connector on your graphics card. Also if its an old TV you could just connect it via the SVIDEO connector most graphics cards have.

I have tryed using s video before but does it require software to detect the connection? which colours are *** s video as i have several just a yellow connector? and then one that connects to the gfx card then splits into various cables? please help ? :)
