New Monitor Or Wait?

Hi All

I've ask similar questions before to this one but with no joy in finding out anything, so I hope someone can help.

I'm looking and have the money to buy a LG 34 Inch monitor though have heard about Adaptive Sync coming out next year.

I am a gamer and movie, Youtube watcher and am not sure if the sync concept is important to me personally.

The reason being for example is tearing and input lag where I have been gaming again since 2008 and have had no problem apart from say Arma 3 when my FPS goes to 15-20 etc the obvious part which effects everyone.

With most games I've never had any problem playing or enjoying them where as most people complain about tearing a input lag and yet for me this is not a problem.

So is this Sync concept for these people or every gamer or should those like me not really bothered just get a monitor that we want.

Thanks

I have a Hazro right now.

This is my point I went from a dell 24 which on TFT Central website had the worst for input lag which I read way after getting the Hazro and to be honest my gaming still feels the same.

So I'm not sure if getting a adaptive sync monitor is of any use to me at all or is it a thing that I will notice it even if i'm obviously not sensitive to tearing or input lag??

I don't get the tech basically.

Just thought of a easy why to ask. If I'm not sensitive about tearing or input lag is adaptive sync important?

Thanks for your help Panos. I've decided to get a LG or wait for the AOC 34 in a few weeks.

I've tried to understand this tech but it's way over my head and I've been gaming this way now for a while and am happy so will stick to it.

There are no adaptive sync monitors at the moment on the market.
If you play with 20fps, until you get Gsync (Nvidia GPU) or Free/Adaptive Sync monitor it will always be the same. Nothing mitigates that.

Tone down your settings when you play games when you have bad performance on them.

And I wouldn't advice you to get 3440x1440 with a single 290. It might play, but you probably have turn off AA, and play with lower settings than the maximum.
