New Monitor / Potential Gfx upgrade

Hi folks, looking for a little advice. I've got the following rig

i5-4690K
8GB 2400Mhz RAM
SSD
3GB 7950 (overclocked a little)

I'm using an ancient horrible 24" 1080p BenQ monitor. I do a lot of gaming, BF4, Divinity, GTAV when released etc.

I'm a bit torn between a curved 21:9 or something with 144Hz and G-Sync, but of course I'd need a graphics card upgrade for G-Sync. Ideally I'd like to play at 1440p and 120Hz - so any suggestions welcome!

Well if you want 1440p and 120Hz+ then that rules out the current generation of 21:9 monitors. Perhaps an Asus SWIFT would suit nicely?

Is that the 27" G-Sync? Like the look of that, but I'd need a graphics upgrade too I think?

Yes, at which point obviously an Nvidia card would make sense.. GTX 970 / 980 ideally.

If you're willing to wait a few months, the Acer Predator XR341CK looks like it will tick all your boxes: 21:9, 34", curved, 144Hz, G-sync, 3440 x 1440 resolution.

I presume you'll probably use the monitor for years to come, in which case it may well serve you better to wait imo.
