I have just got my self the Samsung SyncMaster p2450 24" and have set it up in dual monitor mode and when i set the options to be 1000p i get a nice image but there is a black border around the monitor but if i get the res to 1680*1050 then its full screen but the image is not as good.
can anyone help please
im using win7 and my graphics card is ASUS HD 4670 512MB GDDR3 VGA DVI HDMI if that helps at all.

PS found another thread on here saying it can be resolved with messing about with the scaling settings but all the scaling settings are blocked for me and cant change anything
