Hey, I currently have a LG Flatron E2351 (specs below) and I am looking to get a better monitor for gaming and I will continue to use my current monitor as a second screen.

LG Flatron E2351:
Screen size - 23 inches
Panel type -TN
Resolution - 1920 x 1080 pixels
Response time - 5 ms
Inputs - (HDMI / DVI / VGA / Component) 1 / 1 / 1 / 0
Other details - Headphone jack
Viewing angles (H/V) - 170 ° / 160 °
3D - no

I have been looking at these two so far but I have had no experience with any other monitor than the one I currently have.

The Asus VN247H is a good monitor, was on @ £149 the other day.

To get better youd have to really spend more around the £200-£250 region were you could be looking at high refresh rate monitors.

After having issues with the dell u2414h with awful blacklightbleed the replacement had the same issue. I went for the Asus VN2447h this morning :)

All depends on the price really, the main reason I am looking for a new monitor is gaming so anything pointing me in that direction is good.

Well the LG 23EA63V retails for about £150. I was lucky enough to pick 2 up at £120 when it was first released.

I use 3 currently for gaming and other general purposes. Used to play competitively for FPS' and the monitor has no signs of ghosting and has a very low response time. Its pretty much a good contender.
Also, LG claim that its calibrated from the factory. So another good pointer.

Isnt that what you wanted? 5MS?
23EA63V is rated at 5MS as well. My last monitor was 2MS GTG but 5MS and was perfectly fine.

My god. Dont know how i missed that.
5MS will be perfectly fine though

Lol np, if I buy a new monitor I will not be looking to replace it in a while and maybe even buy a second at some point of the same design (stuff has to match).

I just want to make sure I make the right decision.

I was looking to buy a similar model as well. But no VESA mounts put me off.
23EA63V looks almost identical apart from the stand.
Gosh, sounds like im a LG rep.

Never having owned one, but I've seen it in person, the BenQ has very good colours for a TN panel.
And of course the 120hz was fantastic, looked splendid in games.

Since the current monitor I have is a TN Panel would that mean the difference in colours to a BenQ would be the same or a minimal difference.

Depends on how good the colours on your current monitor are.
If its good, then yes, youll see minimal differences or itll be the same.
But at a quick glance, the BenQ seemed to be on par with sub £250 IPS panels. (my opinion)

Ok thanks for the feedback.

Well obviously its your choice. Many people say 27" 1080P isn't great as they have issues with text not looking right.

If your budget has gone up that much you could even consider buying two of the vn247h as you said you wanted two eventually.

Or as you said you could look at 120/144hz 24" monitors.
