New monitor(s), but what should I go for?

Currently got a Samsung Syncmaster 940BW, lovely monitor, but think I might go for a bit of a change.

Currently undecided on anything, first thing, one big screen or dual screens? I want something quite big as I do a fair bit of webdesign/coding and its nicer to be able to spread yourself out over the screen tbh, whether thats dual screens or one big one.

Next thing is what brand? My Samsung is very nice, as is my Samsung 21" TV, and I have seen/used Asus monitors at my work, which are also pretty nice. But not really sure what else is worth the money?

Looking to spend about £200-£300 on either two screens or one big screen.

So should I go a) dual screen b) single screen, and what one(s)!?

Cheers in advance,
Dave

Any reason to go for the hyundai over the ocuk 28" one? The oc one seems massive bang for your buck!

Well AFAIK OCUK one doesn't not have 1:1 pixel mapping so images will be stretched on 1080P sources (PS£, 360, etc). It is also a TN panel so viewing angles aren't there. If you have look in the thread there is a full review link in there somewhere.

Ah yes i did read about the 1:1 thing. I don't mean to hijack the thread but if I were to use the 28" on my desktop in front of me, and I was just using it for my PC (and not any console) would i be right in saying its a better choice?

I am put off the hyundai because of the ghosting problems that were highlighted in this thread about it. Since I do game quite a lot, I need a monitor that doesn't have these issues.

I have been waiting for eternity for a decent 24"+ monitor, and was willing to order the Hazro or HP but am not going to now because of the various problems with each.

Basically, I won't use my monitor for console gaming, so like you dubcat, I am leaning heavily towards the 28" Hanns-G. The viewing angles are of course TN, but I only really sit directly in front of my monitor, and don't do any colour critical work.
