I am looking to increase productivity and make life easier on my parents work PC
It is used to run a small business from home for invoicing, web based accounting, online purchasing and other general admin tasks
I set up a new PC last year to replace their ageing desktop and now it is the monitors turn for an upgrade
Currently they use a 20" 1600x900 generic HP display which came with their old PC
With a budget of approximately £600 I am looking to get them set up with something bigger or dual monitors as having side by side windows is an important requirement
Currently I am looking at either the AOC 34" super wide here or two Dell 25" 1440p here

Questions are:
  • Which is likely to be easier to use and thus more efficient way of running side my side windows?
  • Can I even run two monitors from the integrated graphics of the current hardware? ASUS H81I-Plus and i3-4130
  • Are the monitors selected any good or should I be looking at any others?

I went from 2 24" screens to a Samsung 34" Superwide and its great. I dont know if its better for productivity though as I dont use the system for anything useful.

I've no idea how your parents eyesight is of course so maybe a non issue but might be worth considering keeping the PPI down so that no scaling is needed for most stuff & it's fairly readable? Not suggesting stupidly low, but maybe 27" for 1440p rather than 25"? Or a couple of 24/25" 1080p or 1920x1200 screens?

Higher PPI for games is great, for office use it's more a mixed blessing, some people love it while others just end up using scaling to counteract it, which is fine unless the scaling doesn't work! Maybe try and see how they find it when looking at whatever you currently use, to base the decision off?
