The last piece of my current PC build is a new monitor, which unsurprisingly again I know nothing about! The first question is whether to buy now or to wait(?) as I've no clue as to what is on the horizon at this price point.

From my limited research, these seem to be the more popular of the choices, but what's the preference between the IPS panel and TN one? The price difference doesn't seem to considerable.

Lastly, have I missed an obvious possible option that I should be considering at this price point,or more?

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,423.18 (includes shipping: £13.20)

Thank you very much!

My system: R7 1700 and a GTX1080.

EDIT: Forgot to say I mostly play shooters etc.

I play PUBG, Battlefield games and CS. Not to any notable level, but an advantage is an advantage. Would IPS suffice? I've heard people complain about blur on IPS panels compared to TN?

I'll check the two suggestions right away.

Hmmm, I'm still none the wiser!

The Acer Predator looks good, but I'm still considering a TN because of these mutterings of input lag and motion blur when playing fast paced FPS's?

I'm finding this such a hard decision; the longer i wait the more likely I am to wait long term and see what IPS screens are released as the year progresses. I almost just bought 27" Dell as a "stop-gap".

I've still not made my decision, lads. All of the help and comments have been brilliant, so thank you; I've no idea why I'm struggling with this one. I'm edging towards a more expensive TN at the moment.
