Im currently looking at buying this monitor:

I would like a bigger monitor and only have a budget of £300 so this monitor has caught my eye i realise the make is not very recognized but will this monitor be ok to what i already have as i dont want to downgrade

Its very big, and has the same viewing characteristics as your current screen (as both are TN based). However, as it is so big I fear that you may see colour shifting at the sides of the screen.

Personally, if I was going to spend this kind of money on a monitor I would go for a non-TN panel, but that will still cost considerably more.

Yes it will be a downgrade in both image quality and build quality. It's a case of quantity over quality. Still, it's not a bad monitor by any means. I think TFT technology has reached a point where any screen will be reasonable for general use.
