New monitor very dark on one side.

As the title says, I just got a new monitor today (An LG 32GP850-B), set it up and noticed along the right side of the screen it is much darker, I've tried changing settings and event connected my Nintendo Switch to see if it still happened but no matter what I do, the right side stays very dim and dark compared to the rest of the screen.

Is there anything I can do to fix this, or did I simply receive a defective product and need to exchange it?

It might be worth trying a different cable but it sounds like you will have to return it.
