I am considering buying a new monitor to last me the next decade (fingers crossed) and I am thinking of the 27" Dell Ultra sharp. I want more resolution & a bigger screen. Maybe I wont need so much AA then.

I am concerned spending this much $$ if my current cards will have there usefulness shortened by this purchase.

My current gfx card is a 769mb gtx460 in SLi.

I currently play my games on a 22" 1680x1050 with generally 4-8 AA with rest the setting at max and get good performance.

Am I being naive to think these cards will be able to handle that res without loosing much in the way of the pretty?

I have found a few with SLi benchmarks but not too many.

Would I be right in thinking that with a higher resolution I could knock the AA down a bit without seeing too much difference?

It going take a lot more then just knocking down the AA to not see much difference....
Also with the 460 only having 768mb of ram i would expect this to cause slow downs at such a high res...
