Bought a pair of LG 27GP850-B last weekend. Noticed one of them had what looked like a cluster of dead pixels which on closer inspection may be a thunderbug or whatever we call them in the UK. It's horizontally pretty central, and about 1/4 of the way up the screen. Tried gently shifting it but ovbiously don't want to cause any further damage. Appears to be stuck firm.
Requested an RMA from customer services on Monday, and their reply yesterday (Weds) stated "The only option that we can offer here is that this comes back as unwanted as it is not a fault of the monitor itself."
Unsurprisingly I'm not at all satisfied by that response. How a new monitor can be considered 'non-faulty' with such an obvious defect is mystifying. Presumably returning as 'unwanted' means OCUK expect me to be liable for the shipping cost (min £15 via DPD). Other than that and a matter of principle, are there any other significant reasons I should demand they accept it as faulty?
