Well im getting a new monitor and dont mind paying a little bit more for one (well im still a student so maybe not as much as some 
) since I wont upgrade it for a while. I like the look of the Samsung SM-960BF 19" LCD Monitor - Glossy White (MO-036-SA) simply because of its response time and brightness. Dont know a lot about them but has anyone had any experiences with it good or bad. Just read the post on the acer widescreen too, is a widescreen a lot better than a normal shaped one. Ill be playing a bit of CS on it but also do solid modelling CAD for my degree on it too.
