Hi all!

Getting a bonus friday and was gonna buy a new monitor. Nothing really wrong with this one apart from its age! had it around 7-8years now!
Would i notice much difference with a new monitor? if any?

I only really play WoW and i game at 1680x1050 (no idea about these resolutions stuff!) Currently i have a 22" hanns.g monitor (thats all i know) My refresh rate seems to be 60hz

No idea if you want/need my specs

CPU: i5 3570k
GFX: 670 gtx
16gb ram
win 7

I could stretch to £200, less is always welcome but i'd rather pay extra for that extra quality or whatnot. Thats IF i even need a new one!

thanks in advance!

With your budget and rig specifications, 1080p is perfectly fine.
There is a lot of 24" and a few 27" screens you could choose from.
BenQ 2460 24" or BenQ GW 2760 27" would be my choices.
You can find both at OCuk store.

The BenQ is a decent monitor - and rather well priced. However, if you can stretch to it a IPS panel monitor would be a nice upgrade. For example this dell is available for £180.

The IPS panel this dell uses gives you better colour accuracy and wider viewing angles compared to a TN panel (such as the one used in the BenQ and your HannsG). Here is an in-depth review of the Dell U2414H.

You may also want to consider a 1920x1200 24in IPS panel monitor like the Dell U2412M and ASUS VS24AHL - as these give you the benefit of a bit more vertical resolution (which I believe is useful in Wow, due to the UI).

You mention using VGA instead of DVI, you can do this - but both the GTX 670 card and the BenQ monitor (and the dell for that matter) have DVI as standard, which will give you a slightly sharper picture.
