I will either be buying a GTX 1080 or 1070 in the next few weeks and I am looking at getting a 27inch monitor , have been looking at the Dell .
Any suggestion on if I should get 1440p and 144hz or just 1440p.
Budget is around 400 mark

I'm in a similar boat (grabbing a 1070 or 1080 soon) and want to upgrade from my Dell 1080/60hz IPS panel. Problem I have is that I want 1440P/144hz/G-Sync and IPS, but the panels seem to have a lot of QC problems, and are pretty pricey. I'm tempted by the Dell which is under £400, as I have a good history with their products, but I'm not sure if I'll regret going from IPS to TN.

I'd look at Freesync/G-Sync models by Acer/Asus/Dell, I think that's the main 3 ticking most of the boxes at the moment? I'd advise you to go 144hz over 60hz.

Watching with interest as I'm in a similar situation - I want a larger monitor than my current NEC 24WMGX3 (which I'll be extremely sad to replace as it's amazing).

I'll likely be going the GTX1070 route too and want 1440p. I've toyed with ultra wide but don't think I can get on with it.
