hi I'm in the market for a new monitor and need some kindly advice,at the mo I play at 1920x1080 and play games like skyrim and fallout 4,my present monitor is an Acer 27inch,and I have recently got a gtx 1070 which I am very pleased with.my question is with this card am I using it wisely or should I step up from 1920x1080.thanks for your time

You should be fine at 1440p with that card.
! Might need to turn down some settings in some games but the 1070 should be enough for quite a while.
Then it's really down to budget as to which screen you go for.
Gsync and higher refresh rate are better for gaming but things get expensive when you want it all.

1070 should run fine with one monitor at 1440p.
I have a GTX970 running two 144Hz monitors fine (only game on one) and i have to make very little change to in game settings.
