New monitor

just upgraded to ryzen 1600 and have a gtx 1080 so need to upgrade the 24" 1080p monitor.

So whats to go for

1080p superwide 120hz
27" 1440p 144hz
34" 1440 superwide.

Only game so whats the best coat to performance and looking nice?

1080p seems a waste on that kind of power. Also, assuming it is a 29 inch superwide, it will be too stumpy (even 34 inch 1440p I feel is just about the minimum height for a monitor). If it is 34 inch at 1080p then it will be a bit low on pixel density.

If it were me I would stick to considering either 34 inch 1440p superwide or a 27 inch standard (in fact, just a week ago it was me. I ended up going with a 34 inch ultrawide, and my new experience with it is why I would not want a shorter monitor, it to me is pretty perfect but I wouldn't mind another inch in height, so a shorter one just wouldn't feel right). My gaming is much more casual so mine is just a standard 60hz monitor, hopefully more savvy people can advise on specific monitors
