Current monitor has started to break, have about 24 different coloured vertical lines on the far right side of the screen (yellow/purple/cyan/blue).

Budget wise looking at £200-350+, main use gaming. Cpu is a 3600 and gpu is a 970, do need to upgrade the gpu. Is it worth sticking with 1080p or move to 1440p?

I have been looking at a few monitors, Aoc 24G2U/27G2U both ips and 144hz. Did consider the LG 27GL850-B, though the price has gone from £350-400 to £500. Their was a different version to the 850, LG 27GL83A, though no stock on that monitor in the UK.

Are their any different monitors that i need to consider, though stock is low everywhere.

Moving to 1440p was one of the best upgrades I've ever made to my PC. The quality of the visuals is just so much better. 27" is a great size too so I would definitely aim for that rather than a 24". There are options at that price point but yeah, stock...

I've just pre-ordered a 34" ultra-wide (should be in stock in the next week or so). If you can fit it on your desk and stretch the budget slightly, at £400 it's not a bad option: ticks all the basic specs and should make for more immersive gaming given the extra width.
