New Monitor?

Hi,

Looking for some monitor advice.

So I'll be buying a new PC later on in the year once prices are confirmed and new GFX cards are released but i'd only just thought of potentially needing a new monitor. I currently have a Benq xl2411p so i'm assuming I'll need to replace it as a main gaming monitor.

I'll probably be looking to game at 1440p at high FPS on things like COD, Valorant, Halo (when it eventually releases), Forza and so on. I love games like The Witcher etc as well but the above will be what the majority of my time is spent on.

I should probably have added, in terms of size I'd probably want something 24" minimum but I'm not fussed about having a huge 40" monitor. I'm also not sure whether a curved monitor is for me in terms of gaming so (open to feedback on that) that's not a must at this point.

No point in new expensive PC, if image is watched from post card.
High refresh rate 27" 2560x1440 models have starting level for prices at £300.

Also lot depends on do you prefer normally illuminated room, or darker room.
VA's way highest contrast shines in low light environment, but in average compared to IPS they have some sluggish transitions.
