Hi guys,

I want to upgrade my monitor and am wanting either a dual (most likely) or triple screen setup. My main activities are web browsing, office documents and gaming. I use my computer a lot so need something that is most suitable for what I do.

I was also thinking of maybe hooking my Xbox up to one of the monitors as well. What would you guys suggest? I have seen the U2414H which is of course IPS but I would imagine you guys will disagree as I have mentioned gaming.

I'm not sure on budget really but if I had to say something around £200.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks :)

I too am looking at purchasing the said monitor. Its got some good reviews, namely this one at TFT central: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2414h.htm

I'm looking at purchasing two and will also look at purchasing the accompanying stand by dell: Dell Dual Monitor Stand| MDS14.

Unable to comment with regards to connecting a Xbox. I'm sure others will be able to help you in that subject area.

Other popular combinations also include 3x

Thanks I really appreciate the response.

I will definitely take a look at the stand and the other monitor. I don't think many people seem to have the Dell at the moment. At least not on here :P

Thanks again :)

Its fairly new and I was looking at x3 of the dells but unable to locate a triple monitor stand I like. So x2 would suffice for now and the dell stand is aesthetically nice :-) Let me know what you decide in the end.

The backlight is pretty good on the right 2, the 1 on the left has a little curve going from center to left quarter way up, im seeing if it settles down before i change it.

Im using a asus matrix 7970

Have to admit that the 3 monitor set up does look good :)

Ive always thought one big monitor worked better over 3 smaller but have to say BF4 looks sexy :)

lol and your desk doesn't look that big either Id be worried that its just to much screen...congrats though :) I want it lol

Absolutely superb mate, I'm seriously jealous of your setup. I'm also running a 7970 Matrix (Hi5 brother :D) but only on a single 24" 1080p monitor.
I've never run a multi screen setup before, but it looks utterly superb and something I'd really love to have someday. What sort of FPS do you get from the Matrix card with 3 screens and what settings do you have?

I've been looking at these monitors as a future purchase, but was concerned about the 8ms response time, (others I've looked at seem much faster than that with 1,2 or 4ms etc) what are they like to game on.

Also a question for anyone that can answer it really? What sort of Monitor response time should I be looking at for an avid (albeit not every good :(), FPS gamer?

Just got two of these Dells:

[sorry just phone pic]

Only just set them up but happy so far!
The thin bezel really does look great.

DJ ive not had any probs with response time in battlefied 4, most settings are on high, no aa, or any other game, if i feel a game is struggling then i just drop some settings down.

The dells only have hdmi and displayport connections, My understanding is that the newer AMD cards do not rely on adapters anymore, so if i change to say maybe a 290x that has dvi dual x2 out, 1 displayport, 1 hdmi, i can simply connect dvi to displayport, displayport to displayport, or hdmi to displayport.

That was my only concern with the dells, but i was waiting to go eyefinity but the bezels were just to big, which the dells solved.

I have my 4770k running at 4.4ghz so that prob helps a lot to.

Beej are they the 4k monitors.

It must be cos you have the monitor stand behind instead of the dell stand, makes them look bigger. i bought 1 last month to see how it was, then added the other 2 after. are u using hdmi or displayport, amd or nvidia card.

If I had the rig for 3 monitors I'd buy another!

Using HDMI at the moment, but getting a GTX 660 tomorrow and going to daisychain displayport.
