Hey All,

Built my new system over the passed couple of days,

Specfication:
Asus Striker 2 Exreme Motherboard
Quad Core Q9450
ASUS 2x 9800GX2s
4GB Corsair DDR3 1333Mhz
ThermalTake ToughPower 1200Watt PSU
ThermalTake Mozart TX Case.

UPDATE/s:

7th July: Made Some Major Changes, CPU Cooler is now installed correctly, 3 Fans at Front of Case Blowing on main system, and a Few changes here and there.

10th July: Orderd 4x 30cm Green Cold Cathodes (Would like advice as to where to place them for best effect)

OVERCLOCKED to 3.70GHz Stable, at around 40 -43c Idle, and 75c On Full Load.

Next to Come:

Green Cathodes (Arrived)

Better CPU Cooling

NEW PICTURES!

Enjoy, Tell me what you think!!

couple of observations

1) move that UV cathode!!! you don't appear to have any UV components anyway but either way I'd put it vertivally up the side hidden by the side panel.

2) your gfx cards seem to be a bit wonky

3) your freezer can't be working to its max if its pushing air away from your exhaust fan can it?? I'd look at turning it 90 degrees.

other than that, massive spec, massive case, nice one!

It's hard to make out the details tbh mate, every picture is blurry and out of focus. What I can make out looks good tho :)

That case is wtfhuge

Move the cathode for sure, i would say move it to back part of the case and placed vertically. It would mix nicly with the blue.
But none the less that a beast of the case.

Love that case - been ogling it myself for some time now.

Are you going the whole hog and adding the 7" monitor and media lab? I know I would if I had the cash :D

Glad you all Like it,

The case is a beast :P :P hence i chose it, plus i can fit 2x 240 Rads in there..

About the cooler, i cannot mount it towards the front of my case (as manual states) like i did before, as it doesnt fit on the mobo (due to mobo heatsink), (hell even the intel stock cooler didnt fit.)

the RAM cooler is good, cannot really hear it, but its annoying as hell, as it doesnt really fit very well :P zip tie ***

The 2nd 9800GX2 is slightly slanted, for some reason i cannot correct this, (ile remove the mobo and have a look)

I will move the cathode was just a temp spot, Going to follow my color scheme of Green, with Blue Dye in the Water Cooling kit which i will install shorty,

other then that, it runs crysis All on high just fine.

CPU temp is high, need to get some new thermal compound, at 3.2GHz it idles around 58 to 62. Then once thats sorted ile overclock higher probably 4GHz if i can hit the mark,

and ile upload some better pics when the adjustments had been made,

other then that,

i thank you for your comments.

"edit"

Having Driver problems, Driver keeps crashing then restarting itself, sometimes the screen would artifact like a B**CH

So ile reinstall Windows Vista again, to make a nice clean start.

Right,

Made a Couple of changes:

Added 120mm Blue LED Fan Below to cool the 2nd card.

Re-threaded the 2nd card Power Cables so that the cables route underneath it, rather coming from the side hole,

Domninator RAM Fan, now Fits perfectly, with a tight fit,<<< Will not move like mad now, Tip: Push the Clips inwards Screw them in place so both clips are now facing inwards on each other, then "strech" over the Ram and the RAM clips (may require some strength) get it to where you want it on the clips, let go and you have a nice tight fit without movement, Solid,

Cathode is in the same location until i get a new pair, (new pair will be green cathodes and not UV)

at the min, i seriously thinking of getting a cheap Thermaltake Bigwater 745 kit, just to cool it a bit better. as then i can cool my NB aswell,

and to top the work off....

had to go hospital around 1:30am, after one of the fans sliced deeply into my thumb and was ****ing blood like mad, luckily i didnt have to have stitches.

Please fully star out any swearing

Quad Sli Fast, and Stable, Tho not all games will be stable.

Overclocked CPU from 2.66GHz to 3.70Ghz from 1.2v to 1.3v<< works a charm.
i applied some Artic Silver 5, and it operates around 72c, but those temps are not accurete, in other software i get like 92c, which is slightly impposible as the CPU would just simply shut off.

Woah that case is bigger than my uni halls! Put water cooling in it just to justify the size :p

On a side note your temps really should drop if your had the hsf on the right way (the fan comes off if that helps), consider another cooler if its having probelms...

But otehr than that awsome!

Yeah, Cooling is now an issue, ive applied Artic Silver 5, Still, not the temps i was hoping for, the HSF is mounted solid on the CPU, but when i cleaned the old stock crap off, i noticed there was a ton of scratches on the copper where the manafacture has made it via machine, so ile either lap it or get the Zalman 9700 Cooler.

Though Saying that, about temps

i am getting diffrent temps from diffrent Software, from OCCT its like 85 to 91 on full load, where as CoreTemps and RealTemp are 78, 80,85, and PC Proble (ASUS) will be like 70,

on idle, its all 58 to 60-66

but ASUS Probe says its 45 -50, when i touch it, i very much doubt its 60, its more like my old pentium D that idles around 45

Core Temp / Real temp are kinda correct mostly, 78-80 looks very high tho.
Can you check the temps in BIOS ? And when you touch the CPU cooler heatsink is it rather cold or normal/slightly warm?
