New Motherboard for Crossfire

After seeing the likely price of the new RX480 I've decided to scrap plans to build the Wife a PC, build myself a new one and give her mine.
I'm thinking of getting two RX480's in crossfire but I've hit a snag, looking at the crossfire motherboards most of them seem to only have one x16 slot with the other actually being x8 cutting them both to x8 when used in crossfire, I'm assuming this is far from ideal, can somebody please recommend me a motherboard that has 2 x16 slots running in at x16 speed that doesn't cost the earth.

Many Thanks

Hi, the actual difference between 16X/16X and 8X/8X in real world testing is a couple of %.

The only Skylake Z170 boards that do 16X/16X need to use a PLX chip to gain the extra PCIE lanes, and these are all super expensive.

X99+5820K would be more affordable than a 6700K and one of these PLX equipped Z170 boards for example.
