Just got a refund from a competitor for my p5b deluxe which went boom and have around £130 to spend on a replacement.

I'm a bit short on cash so cant give it a big upgrade at the moment, but would like to in the future (most probably this summer), what would be an economical upgrade for this setup:

core2 e4300 (was running at 3 gig)
2gb ballistix
x1900xtx
antec truepower 450w (in the process of an rma with an enermax liberty 620w)

any help much appreciated.

For a motherboard the Asus P5Q Pro at £105 is hard to beat. Fairly good value and a good clocking board with a excellent bios.

Later on drop in a 4850/4870/GTX260/280 depending on res you plat at. Apart from that it's a decent rig. The E4300 is still quite a good cpu when clocked.
