Hey guys, as said previously not the best when it comes to overclocking the good old cpu's but before I go to the next stage I thought I would just ask.

Just leaving voltages at Auto and keeping a 1:1 ratio with the ram I have my Core 2 Duo e6300 sitting happily at 2.8GHz, this was obviously @ 400mhz fsb with the x7 multiplier.

Now my board is in my sig, a DFI Infinity P965-S Black, and anywhere over this the system will crash after a time in windows or during the windows loading screen. This has led me to believe that I will need to up the CPU Voltage and having a quick look at the voltage settings it looks like each time you up it I am looking at an increase of +12.5mV or something like that.

JUst really wondering as to how I know to test this out, do I just continue to increase the CPU voltage one bit by bit until the system posts and loads no problems? then test it out?

I am running 2GB(2x1GB DDR2 PC5300 Corsair Value RAM)
Also when should I up Ram voltages?

CPU Voltage: 1.32 in the bios
DRAM Voltage: 1.9 in the bios

Temps are generally fine @ around 35degrees idle and 45degrees load on a Zalman 9500CU :)

Any help would be much appreciated as I am very new to all this.

Thats what I do, change settings until it posts then check if it's stable in windows. (Then again, I'm by no means a guru)
