New motherboard? single core 64 to 64 X2

Hey all, i was wondering..am i right in thinking that if i flashed the bios on my DFI lan party ultra-d to the latest X2 version i can use any amd 64 X2 939 chip even thought its designed for single core 939?

Can i ask what bios version you guys are running, and which one you found the best?

And i noticed this on some of the bios versions for the ultra-d

" The BIOS Upgrade for SST 49LF040B LPC flash ROM Only "

I just bought a 4400+, so need some advice on what bios version to flash, i understand anything after 2006/03/29 works with X2's? Confirmation of this would be appreciated, and some tips on which bios version to go with aswell (with link

Well graphics card and cpu are in, but bios flash went wrong..well maybe. Gonna reinstall windows tomorrow because its missing some needed boot files. (hal.dll)

And hopefully my new rig will be up and running tomorrow afternoon.

I did manage to boot windows and logon to an account with the x2 in before windows exploded, and i have to admit, it loaded VERY FAST
