Hi, recently changed to a new mobo, and I've set everything up and now the keyboard isn't working. Keyboard has LEDs, they come on, and the 'Num Lock' key lights up, but num lock won't trigger on and off. The keyboard is obviously connected, just not recognised or something. Anyways, when I turn on the PC, it simply loads a page saying Press F1 to continue and Press F2 or DEL to Run Setup.

None of those work. I have tried every USB port, and none work unfortunately.

does that board have ps2 kb port? might need to try and test with that, either ps2 kb or usb/ps2 adaptor

tried a full cmos clear? battery left out a good 30 minutes?

cant think whatelse you can try

any idea what bios is on there? the bios chips pull out and can plug a pre flashed one in with latest bios on it

there's all different bios versions though, you probably need latest one to get your kb working

or it might work ok with proper ps2 kb idk till you try

Okay...

Tried all USB ports, then tried a PS2 keyboard instead, still wasn't working. It was stuck on the Default BIOS loaded screen or something of the sort, couldn't budge it as had to press F12 or Delete.

So, I went up to the shop, got the mobo changed for a brand new one, and still, the same problem occurs!

its not the board its the bios,it probably doesn't support your make/model of kb

hence why it needs flashing to latest version, then it might get the kb working,if its a computer shop ask them to test with different keyboards and or to flash the bios for you

if you can wait you can ask asrock for a pre flashed bios chip with latest bios on it,if not they can be bought off fleabay but they cost a tenner

then you carefully pull out the old chip and plug in the new one/look on youtube on how to do it

if t still wont work with latest bios then im at a loss at what it could be

Hi I'v just had the same problem on my Ducky keyboard, I went through all the normal suff dip switchs on the keyboard etc, in the end I put the factory defaults on the Ducky and all working now, I hope this helps.
