Hello
I have this motherboard: MSI FM2 A75MA-E35.
I want to get this motherboard: MSI 990FXA-GD65.
Would it work straight away seeing as they are the same brand? Would the drivers/bios be the same?
Thanks

Should I get the FX 6350 or 8350?
And what do I do once the motherboard and cpu are installed? Do I need to reinstall windows or anything like that?

I'm probably going to get the FX 8350. Once I install the new motherboard, what do I need to do? That's what I want to know. :)

I don't really want to either, due to heat and power consumption.

You'll be getting a lot of heat and power consumption from an 8350. It's kind of a feature.

What GPU do you have, and what's your upgrade budget?

If you are going down the upgrade route for the FX, get the 8320. It's lots cheaper, offers the same specs apart from a slightly lower clock speed and that's it - you can easily OC it to the 8350 stock speeds anyhow.

I am trying to avoid overclocking as much as possible, so I wouldn't OC it. Does the clock speed really matter in terms of gaming?
