I have a gigabyte motherboardat the moment and have just purchased a msi motherboard, is their any way of just slotting the old 1 out and putting the new 1 in without any problems, really don't fancy installing everything again :( thanks in advance

If it's the same (or similar) chipset then uninstalling current drivers, swapping boards then installing new drivers should work.

I went from a old AMD system over to a Intel system (motherboard, ram and CPU changed) and I was still able to use my current install without any issues. I was using windows 7 and new hardware all installed once in windows

you may need to make a note of sata port settings on your current board to make sure they match on your new one (options are IDE, ACHI, RAID) as if yours is set to ACHI at the moment and by default the new board is on IDE the system may not boot and also check your boot options on the new board as the HDD\ssd may not be the first boot device.
