Just splashed out on a new motor -

Not really something I would have bough back home - too much of an image problem - but it fits right in here. An added bonus is its got the (North America only) 269HP 3.5 V6 which makes it quite nippy - perfect for BMW baiting.

If I ever find a road with a corner, I'll let you know if it can handle.

All I need now are a couple of kids to take to 'soccer' practise. ;)

I love the new Rav4 up until the back doors where the rear end just looks like it was designed by someone else entirely.

3.5l V6... alright for you with your cheapo fuel

Now I dare you to get it dirty :p

I wouldn'e thought the Rav4 would be too small compared to American standards?

I kinda agree - also wish they'd put the spare under the floor rather than hang it on the 'trunk' door.

It'll get plenty of dirt during weekend skiing and mountain biking trips in the Sierra Nevadas. Not that I'm under any illisions about its off-road capabilities. Its main job is to prevent California Highway Patrol making me put snow-chains on in the winter.

The Yank version is slightly bigger than the European versions (compare the side windows over the cargo area), but yes - next to my neighbour's Nissan Armada, its tiny.

They dont exist in america :/

Except in Aspen, where there is a radio station you can tune in to that gives repeated instructions on how to use roundabouts!!!

Ironically, the only 'circle' I've ever seen out here was right next to the dealer I bought the RAV from.

America's fuel consumption would drop significantly if they replaced all the traffic lights and stop signs with roudabouts and give-ways.
