New Mountain Bike £200 budget?

Hey guys I've not ridden a Mountain Bike in about 7 years :eek:

Decided I wanna get back into riding even if its just cycling around the local res

Girlfriend said she'll buy me one for my birthday in 9days

So what bike would you advise and what size frame would I need as i'm 6'3" now, grown and little since last time I road one hehe

You can't go wrong with Trek. I would guess the 19.5" would do you fine.

I hope you have budgeted for a cycle helmet too

You can pick up some bargains for around 240 quid, last years models though.

I am torn between the hardrock and hardrock sport. Not sure what the real difference is between the two and would be greatful for some advice.

Sorry to bump this thread but I want to make an order before 1 today to try and get a delivery for the weekend.

Any advice as to which one to go for the Hardrock XC or Hardrock Sport?

From what I can tell, the hardrock sport has cheap front suspension, the hardrock XC has normal rigid forks.

Went and ordered a 19" 2005 Hardrock Sport in black :cool:

Paid £240 all inclusive of delivery muchos bargainos

From all the reviews i've read the GT Aggressor seems to be the best entry level mtb and is 7th place in WhatMountain bikes top 10

Just found it online for £188 with free delivery which is £62 cheaper than Halfords
