Purchased a Logitech G400 a week ago from this very site, everything is groovy except every now and then the mouse does this (managed to capture it with my phone):

You sort've notice something is wrong as the mouse isn't responding well to your movement, but then you let go of it and it just sits there on the desk whilst the pointer freaks out on the screen for a bit.

There's no dust or dirt on the sensor, so I'm not entirely sure if there's anything I can do. Is there, or is it RMA time?

Have you tried it on another system? Laptop or Desktop just to rule out everything. Other than that - are you 100% sure there isn't a hair over the sensor or something?

If not, then yeah I'd RMA tbh

Do you have another mouse you can test? Have you downloaded/installed/updated the driver for the mouse?

What DPI are you using then this happens? Is it across the range?

Haven't got another system at home to try it on, though I could take it into work and use it there. Will do that on Monday. 100% sure there's no hair or anything though. I've looked at the sensor with a bright light, nothing reflects.

Happens on both 3600dpi (max) and 2000dpi. Haven't really used the mouse on anything lower. Am running the latest Logitech Gaming Software, that's all that's available on there website.

I don't use a mouse mat, just the desk itself. Similar beech desk to what I use at work where I've been trying the mouse for the past few days. Had no problems with it there, and it seems to have quietened down at home now too. Just every now and then, it'll sort've jump to the left when I'm moving the mouse straight down (towards me).

Played up at work today, and has been jumping around again at home :(

Gonna see if I can RMA for another one. Thanks for all your advice guys!
