Looking for a new mouse:

What are peoples views, I want something nice and light, loads of buttons don't fuss me, as in I don't want something like that Naga :D So far I have looked at the;

Razer Taipan
Razer Abysuss
Razer Mamba
(but don't like the idea of wireless, although you can plug the cable in)

SteelSeries Sensei
SteelSeries Xai

I currently have the RAT 3, and it's starting to feel a bit bulky. Taipan is looking to be my favourite so far, but is something like that worth the price, or would the Abysuss do the same job? Is the 4G dual sensor option any good?

Thanks

Set yourself a budget. 99% of gamer mice are bad and over priced.

If you want 'light' then wireless is out of the question since they all have on-board batteries.

Hi cheers, i am wondering what this dual sensor is like, it's ok i'd rather not have wirless. £75 is a budget but i still think that's a lot. i've held the razer abysuss and i liked how light it was. Does any one know what the dual sensor is like, or is it marketing?

ye all gamer mice over priced and usually badly made
but im a fan of the zowie mico they great if have small hands

they come in black blue and pink :p
they look really cheap but how it performs what counts to me
anyway i think more cute than cheap

it depends how u hold ur mouse and how big ur hands are which is right for you!
i know plenty of people with the sensei and they love them even after they broken a couple but thats more of a palm mouse and its heavier

there is also the debate between low & high ingame sensitivity :)

only u know which type of mouse u like!

The Razer Deathadder is a great mouse. Can be had for around £40, two extra buttons on the side, comfortable to use and isn't too heavy IMO.

yeh a nice palm mouse, the wires often break on them heavy use but they still one of the best

and yep lighter than the sensei i think

I've been using the razer imperator for ages, it's my favourite.

Was thinking about upgrading to the imperator 2012.. but no point. This mouse is still excellent.

Ah hello, didn't see this one, I may look into this as it has the dual sensor feature which I haven't heard much about but hey ho, and is a slightly cheaper price. Does it feel lightweight, I want something as light as possible :D
I am no way a pro gamer, and read that I don't need a mouse with such high DPI, but I'm guessing even if the mouse has the option of 6500 i can turn it way down to something a bit lower?

Thanks

Thanks

yeh you can and mostly the high dpi numbers is just a gimmick
does it track well, does it use acceleration these things are more important

steelseries has the weights on its website, duno about razer
the mico and kana are both very light i have both, kana too big for me

if u palm grip or claw grip is important

I have the SteelSeries Sensei as this mouse is suited for left hand players...great mouse, a bit too flat for my taste, good options in the software driver to adjust to your playing style over and above plain dpi adjustments.
