New mouse, keyboard, gaming surface

I need new hardware.

Budget - £40 max for mouse and keyboard, not necessarily from a set - preferably less but if it's worth it I'll pay the extra. Preferably wired too but again not essential.

I really know nothing about this hardware, just going by what looks nice

As above for mouse and mat. Cannot really get any better for the money.

I gamed on one of these keyboards for a few years no probs and only £12.00

Mousemat* is too big, see OP, and does that mouse work for lefties? the indents seem to be made for the right hand :S
