Hi all,

I'm in desperate need of a new Mouse mat.
My current one is a Razer eXactMat (the one with 'Speed' and 'Control' sides) and is made of metal. This is where the problem lies. The metal is so cold in fact, that after using it for long periods of time, the bones in my hand/wrist ache like mad.
It seems to me that the only sensible solution is to buy a cloth mouse mat.

I don't really have a lot of space on my desk (I had to turn the eXactMat sideways to fit, just), and would like one that would last through hours upon hours of gaming, web surfing and general mouse usage.

Budget: £20 (will go higher, should the product be worthy :p)

Well you seem to take your mouse mats more seriously than me :p but I can recommend what I've got

Here

It's small but ample for fps such as css etc, cloth and smooth. Not sure about the more expensive stuff out there but I can't see a reason why I would upgrade to it.

Also has no signs of wear as yet after pretty much 24/7 usage of pc for nearly 6 months :)

^^ You would want the QcK+ or Heavy if you want something of similar size to the Razer eXactMat as you will probably find the QcK Mini is far too small for your liking.

I used to have the QcK Mini myself! I let my parents use it now.. I have a QcK+ now.. :)

Thanks for the recommendations from both of you.
I have looked at the SteelSeries mats, and I've gone for the 'Gaming' edition, as the dimensions are just right for the space on my desk.

I looked at this, but I would probably have to cut it down a fair bit to make it fit. It does look well made though.
