Looking at upgrading from my mx510 as the buttons are getting a bit shagged from to much frantic gaming.

so far have narrowed my list down to these

Razer Copperhead
Razer Deathadder
Logitec G5
Logitec MX518
MS HABU Gaming Laser

Any one have any of these and can add a recommendation, or if you have something else that I should consider.

As to mouse mats i have a cheap one with rist rest at the moment but am looking at this one

Razer Exactmat Gaming Mouse Pad with wrist Rest

The Deathadder and G5 are the best mice in that list but they are the expensive ones, the MX518 is the cheaper option and is a superb mouse so I have heard. I'm going to be upgrading mine shortly and probably going to go for the MX518.

I use an MX518 and ExactMat combo and thing it's great!

If you like your 510 it might be worth you phoning Logitech and seeing if you can get a replacement. I've done that three times now saying that the buttons have stopped responding and they just send me out another one.

The last one to go was an MX510 (dodgy right-click) and they sent me out an MX518 as they didn't have any MX510's in stock, which was nice :)

The MX518 is definitely the best mouse I've ever used!

I think the HABU is the best. So ergonomic and good fitting and some really useful buttons.

The sensitivity buttons are a blast.

Have that coupled with an Icemat 2nd edition. (Brilliant)

Good if you aren't low sensitivity as shown here
Deathadders are exactly the same shape, just optical rather than laser, and much much better

The graph shows us immediately that the DeathAdder performs well. Infact the Perfect Control (where the line remains straight) goes all the way up to 3.92 m/s. This is infact the highest limit of Perfect Control of any mouse I have ever tested!

I don't know about the mouse as I have an MX510 as well :D but as for the Mat I ould say Everglide DKT, excellent mousemat and its huuge, I've had it for a good 3 years now and I can't fault it!

been hearing a lot of good things about the deathadder so ordered mine today for £40 delivered to replace my MX510
