After 3 years my G9X has broken (mouse wheel not working). I've been reading about what to get to replace it but there's load of new mice out there since I bought my G9X. I mainly use it for playing WoW but I play all sorts of games. I was in my local pc store today and they have quite a few gaming mice in but they wouldn't let me open the boxes to get a feel for them.

They had the G500S in for £44 which is a decent price I think but not sure it it will be too big for my dainty hands. They also had the Corsair M65 and a couple of Sensai mice in as well. I asked if I could take it back if I bought one and didn't like it but they said I could only do that if the product was unopened! Not sure if that's legal or not though cos I don't think the DSR regs apply when buying in store (or do they?).

I have small hands and can claw the G700/S fine, assuming G500s would be similar. Avoid the Sensei I've tried two now and they were both built to shocking standards. My current favourite mouse is the Kone Pure, its pretty damn small but the build quality is amazing - better than logitech (annoyingly) and far far better than steelseries/razer. Keep trying to think of reasons to send it back and keep the G700S but can't! The sensor it uses is flawless as well if that matters at all to you (3090).

I bought my first Logitech G5 some years ago.

So impressed with it, that I have bought 3 more for my other PCs.

Also got an MX700 which is about the wireless equivalent ( sort of ) but that tracks poorly and I have a couple of others too, but the G5 is still going every bit as good as day one, I have replaced the feet of course through massive use, but its a great feel and is about the most perfect mouse that I have ever used, and yes, I have tinsy winsy ickle handywands.

I have an old G5 that you are welcome to use ( as long as you rturn it when you have finished )
