New mouse please

I have small to medium hands too and have the Zowie Ec2 Evo. Similar to a DA but slightly smaller. The current "best mice" with no angle snapping or prediction are either the zowie Ec2 Evo, FK, AM or razed DA. The current G400 is also still one of the best but is very large.

For claw grip go zowie AM or FK. Palm / claw go Ec2 Evo or pure palm grip the DA.

Are these good for small to medium hands?
Is the profile high on them or fairly low?

I don't own one but a quick google search should answer you question. ;)

OP, I would also recommend the Logitech G9x as I have one. Great mouse but a bit above your price range.

With the Logitech g9x / g500 you can't fully turn off mouse acceleration off as the mice themselves do have in built acceleration. Not a problem for MMO's etc but for those looking for an fps mouse should stear clear.

Optical sensor is where it's at, Zowie or DA. G400 or late model mx518 being decent lasers as I said before. They are however quite large

Opposite problem am afraid. It has tracking problems on white surfaces and negative acceleration on cloth mats.

Edit..at the pub at the mo but one of the biggest reasons I went zowie was low lod lift of distance

Tosh ! I have a g9x and I can adjust acceleration easily using the software.

The g9x is an excellent gaming mouse for FPS, that's the reason I bought it. You should check your facts m8 before you post. I've been using it in competitive play for nearly a year with NO problems what so ever.

Most mice have negative or positive acceleration and or angle snapping. This is well documented with a quick search.

Many competitive players use many different brands and type of mice, they like you are perfectly happy with the mouse they have. You have used that mouse for ages, no doubt it is now just an extension of yourself.

I wouldn't be surprised that if I used most mice, I wouldn't even ever notice skipping, prediction or angle snapping. What I am trying to do is give a guy a hand and tell him the known issues with some mice / sensors. Whether any of it would be actually noticeable is not for me to say.

What I can say for sure is that coming from the same shaped larger mouse the Ec2 Evo feels more comfortable in my hand but his preference may lie elsewhere.

Tbh, a mouse is a personal thing. Hence i never reccomend based on feel. My personal advice, go to a shop and try a few. Only then youll find what you like best. Im a G500 user, but ive researched how to set it up for certain games. But more importantly, i like how it fits my hand.

Well done, you can adjust the acceleration using software.

He meant the hardware "built in" acceleration which CAN NOT be adjusted and most mice have some degree of built in acceleration.
