Hi people,
Unfortunately, my MX revolution is slowly dying (charging, mouse click and skipping on tracking) so I am in the town for a new mouse!

I play a lot of SC2 and use the computer for general stuff for about 6-8hours a day so I am not worried about spending a hell of a lot on a mouse (literally up to about £150).

Preferably I would like wireless just due to desk space and design means a wired mouse will also have a bit of a short cable and will annoy the hell out of me (and frankly, I love wireless). I am aware this is sub-optimal for gaming so no need to tell me :D

I am looking at the RAT 9 - was curious if anyone has one or has tried it? I have read a few reviews although I am always dubious of online reviews due to the fact they seem to follow more expensive higher rating.

I have a palm grip on my mouse and average sized mens hands.

I use my mouse mainly straight on the desk.

If anyone has any other suggestions or questions I would really appreciate it!

Logitech Performance Mouse MX. Logical step up from the MX revolution (I upgraded to one), and can be used both wired and wireless :)

Problem with the MX518 is that it is wired AND I have got so used to a more extreme shape in terms of fitting I am reluctant to go to a more standard shaped mouse.

So nobody thinks one of the RAT series is worth the extra cash?

How long have you had the MX Revolution?

You could RMA your MX Revolution, (Logitech after-sales service is one of the best).

Buy the MX518 to tide you over till you get the other back, plus you will have a good backup mouse.

I have a R.A.T 3. My honest opinion is that it is the best mouse i have ever used (i have in the past had most of the Razer line up including copperhead and Lachesis), quite durable aswell, really is very smooth and completely different. If you have the budget for the R.A.T 9 i would say buy it.

no point spending £150 on a mouse unless your an designer or you play WoW and need more buttons.
imo, i would go with the MX518 or G500 both are under £35 and deliver insane performance for the price.

Well done on reading his requirements though.

WIRELESS.
