i'm wanting to get a new mp3 player, my limit is about 200quid. i'm trying to stay away from ipods, what are the best alternatives?

cheers

how much storage would you want?

ooh, well atm on my computer i have about 15-20gb of music, so way above that, and if the mp3 player has good video features higher again so i could store a decent amount.

i know that 80gb ipod video classic is tempting but just want to know what the other alternatives are.

There are various players that are worth looking into, there's a new Creative Zen with 32gb storage and an SDHC slot, although it's not really that big. Cowon's D2 (Should be a D3 soon) has very good sound and a relatively big screen, only comes in 8gb, but has SDHC too.

The hard disc dap market is looking a little bare at the moment, the best out there is
Kenwood HD60 but it doesn't have video. Otherwise I'd get a Creative Zen Vision:M Slim (Creative don't make these anymore, so you'll have to look around for one).

Personally, I'm getting a Samsung P2, and waiting a bit to see what gets released in 1Q08 :).

I think your best bet would be the new Creative Zen 16GB. Very small, excellent audio and video quality and built in FM radio. I've seen them for £149.99 delivered. That leaves you enough to get a decent set of headphones and a case along with it. I've seen at with free creative travel speakers for the £149.99 price as well.

OCUK only do the 4GB and 8GB models. How about it Gibbo, can you get the larger capacity ones in? They are also releasing a 2GB and 32GB version, although I havn't seen them around yet.

WELLL GET A ZUNE AMAZING LOVE MINE

unless you have a mac

They are amzing mine is the original and have got the latest firmware and if i had a 360 i could send songs videos and pictues to it.

They are great and only £80 for first version 30gb or for the new 80gb version they are £150. Amazing sound great batery life.
