New MSI gtx970. No mouse mat.

New card arrived. No mouse mat? Honestly one reason I picked this card over palit jetstream was cause I really wanted a new mouse mat (black). I specifically asked if one was included & was told "yes". Ive not ordered from ocuk in ages due to some bad issues in past (likely during another management I gather from the forums). Very disappointed first order in god knows when & immediate missing item (worried i have returned 2nd handstock? Driver disc packaging looks dirty/opened).

Anyone else missing theirs?
 
The big man Gibbo advised me it included a mouse mat (not blaming him, im guessing least first batch did so he assumed new batch would). Reviews seem to indicate mouse mat. People who got first batch got mouse mat. Well least I got to desktop now.
 
Heh heh ;P could have saved £20 & got the zotac. Cost of a mouse mat these days is like £5-10+, it added to the cards value. Just saying I really needed a new one & swayed my decision. Don't think its that surprising to be disppointed once reviews, customer feedback (1st batch) & head of OCUK tells me a mouse mat IS INCLUDED. Think its reasonable to be :( Notice both fans switch off on idle, believe thats normal, hopefully :) Will get latest msi afterburner on & run heaven/valley & see what happens
 
Well i think its poor ethically giving reviewers free mouse mats & claiming on your website right now about a free mouse mat to clearly influence people to buy your product over competitors only to not deliver. The reason customer service is poor in the UK is because people just go "quiet" & take it, instead of fighting for their rights. I bet you the people working at MSI would be disappointed buying any product be it gpu, clothing, car whatever & not receiving the free thing they thought was advertised. But like i said, forget about it. My blue EDF mouse mat will have to continue its duties.
 
Old boxes appear to have had a stamp on them indicating free mouse mat. That badge has disappeared off the new batch of cards clearly & obviously not been included anymore. A very "limited period" (one day?). Still think they shouldnt have it list on the MSI site if no longer applicable, that should be pulled. Shame on MSI I think.

P.S. I got the Haribo ;)

MSI Computer UK Hi Chris. Where do you see it on the website? This was the case but only a very limited amount of stock at those resellers who had launch allocation. As the 970 sold so well that Friday, everyone sold out of the mouse mats that morning.

I never go for happy meals, always the big mac, but lets say i did go with a happy meal...well...i wouldnt be happy.

Seriously jokes aside, it was a bit disappointing. Its clearly gone to review sites with included mouse mats or word of mouth it includes a mouse mat, reviewers write the review including this free mouse mat information, customer checks these reviews out, makes decision based on them, then finds out it isnt really true.

Their "limited period" was clearly to the reviewers to give favorable reviews & the first batch of customers. 1 day is a very limited "limited period". And if they have sold really well it means big big bucks for MSI. So make a few more mouse mats ;)

As per MSI website-

THis ^^^^ should say "For an extremely limited first day only customers you get a free mouse mat" & then offer cease to exist/pull info off website. Still my opinion.
