New MTB

i have a few road bikes and want to get a MTB for multi use (off road trails, Ad hoc trips etc). Seem set on a 29", but could get a 27.5".

I have my eye on the following (would get 10% off each);

- Ghost Kato 9 £1299
- vitus sentier 29 VR £999 1x11

I really like the look of the Kato (frame looks excellent, internal routing, spec seems bang on for the money etc). Any others to consider at this price point?

For £350 before discounts (15% off for Toyota membership http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/membership/ ) the spec is amazing, I've been mulling over buying one as a surprise pressie for my better half, but equally for a bloke just swap out the saddle if a frame size fits!

Maybe a little too much bike than what your looking for/tad higher than your looking to spend.

Do you need to spend that much? I just bought a Voodoo Bizango from Halfords, and I can't see spending more results in a better bike. It's pretty like, good spec. Unless you're doing pro riding it's a fine bike.
