New NEC 20" widescreen model

Much cheaper than the stonking LCD20WGX (manufacturer's suggested price £279 ex VAT).

But, then, the spec is underwhelming.

yep, it's only a TN Film panel unfortunately, so in a difference class to the LCD20WGX2 (AS-IPS panel)

What sort of differences? Look real pretty though.

Much poorer viewing angles, really bad (by modern standards) contrast ratio which in turns means poor black depth, not true colour etc.

With that price something like the Philips or Viewsonic are more attractive options.

Gaah I just hope NEC make a 24" version of the AS-SIPS panel as in their 20.1"... dream come true.
