Hi all,

The "new" NSX is on my hit list of cars currently and I've yet to track down one locally to get a test drive in.

Prices are dropping quickly atm which is good news for buyers but it seems the entry level supercar market is taking a pounding overall tbh.

There are few for sale and most are down London way or on SOR so not very test drive friendly.

I need to set aside a weekend and get to London really to visit Chiswick Honda but in the meantime I thought I'd ask motors what the experiences with it have been like, if any?

There was one in the showroom at Honda Wolverhampton, though they struggled when I wanted to sit in it to find the keys, though to be fair they did let me blast around in the Civic Type R. Serious buyer would be able to road test it, lovely colour combination too (metallic dark red). Give them a call and see if they still have it, but be careful where you buy as these are heading to below 100K this year.

Had an eye of these (among others) for the last 3 months or so, can really see them becoming sub £100K cars soon.

Wolverhampton would be a great shout, not that far from me.

Back to NSX Nathan, go drive one, I guarantee you will probably love it, but you will miss the noise of your AMG V8, but I assume your gonna keep the AMG as makes no sense to get rid of it as its perfect for when you need to transport more than 2 people or go shopping as the NSX has like no boot.

Yeah AMG will be staying.

Rang Honda Wolverhampton, no beans. No NSX exists apparently. No bother, got a test drive booked on Friday @ Proctors Cars in Derby. Got a few other nice cars there: R8 V10 plus, AMG GTS etc.

Well your a serious buyer, try to take V10 Plus out at same time, also the GTS would give you a taste of how the GTR is (firmer, harsher, louder), but I think you already drove a GTS?

Yeah it's more just to have them all in one place really, give you a better feel visually at least. Drove the GTC (not GTS derp) at beginning of Dec now.

Well GTC is better than GTS anyway, if you enjoyed that, you'd enjoy the GTR for sure, though the GTR is less capable in the wet, but the GTC is not exactly great. :D

Yeah it's one thing that is annoying about the C63. In the wet or remotely damp conditions, no go. Although mine has the open diff which definitely does not help lol

This came out a couple of days ago:

Watched it last night, I love Tiff but felt that was a poor review of both cars really. basically both of them saying wow and would put safe money on the 911.

All the styling cues on that 911 are so flattened out, the design has become utterly bland.

The NSX looks fresh and spritely but the 911 looks flat and dull in comparison.

911 is very old hag and tiring to look at now.

The NSX is so under-rated. If it had a German badge everyone would be singing about it and you would see one on every street corner.

Agree x2 on the above.

Very excited for the test drive.

My concern is the noise, the V6 worries me that it will be slightly "anti climatic" and all the youtube videos in the world aren't really helping it's case.

I say that but of course if someone offered me a Porsche I'd take it. But I'm sure the Honda can be made to sound good with an exhaust or some mods ?

From what I’ve read, the quicksilver option is what people often go for. However for the money involved you’d think it would sound better.

Hopefully Irl it will be all good.

Ok guys, pics to follow but a short synopsis below. I have driven the AMG GTC, Huracan LP-610, R8 V10 (gen2)plus recently for reference:

Right boys.

Pros:
- amazing looks, honestly pics don’t it justice
- handling, wow. Shouldn’t surprised as it’s a Honda but decimated the R8/Huracan here.
- pliability, you can use all the power all the time and it’s easy as hell.
- car feels light to drive around despite kerb weigh and visibility is best in class.
- rarity, jdm points etc
- interior is very nice despite mixed reviews imo

Cons:
- sound isn’t the best, hardly any exhaust noise.
- brake feel is weird(they aren’t actually connected)
- doesn’t actually “feel” that fast
- cost, more £££ than an R8 or AMG GTC
- gearbox isn’t as fast as R8/Huracan
- flappy paddles are made of kinder toy grade plastic
